Wrap Around Care

At Bakewell CofE Infants we aim to provide wrap around care that is both flexible and affordable for parents, and meets the need of our children.

We run an in-house Breakfast Club, 7:30 – 8:45am, and an Afterschool Club, 3:15 – 5:30 each week day.  This is available to both Bakewell Infants and Bakewell Methodist Junior School pupils, and is led by Mrs Dring and supported by other members of school staff.

All members of staff are DBS checked, experienced in working with children, and have undertaken safeguarding children training.

We liaise closely with the Bakewell Methodist Junior School.  Junior children are walked up to the Junior School by a member of staff each morning, and collected and walked down for afterschool provision at the end of their school day.

In an emergency, if you need to book on the day, please ring the school office on 01629 812322 before 2pm if possible.

Your Child's details - registration form

When you book for the first time you will be given a registration form to complete.

We will then ask you to review this periodically.

Please inform the school immediately of any changes so we can act accordingly.

We must have details on file prior to your child(ren) attending the club to ensure we have have your emergency contact details, permissions and are aware of any medical, dietary or SEN needs. For safeguarding purposes, we cannot accept any child that is not booked onto a session without prior notice. Equally, if your child is not able to attend a club you have booked, you must contact the school so that your child’s name is removed from our register in adherence with Safeguarding policies.

Invoicing & payment

Invoices will be raised on a monthly basis, and issued by the middle of the following month.

Payment by BACs (bank transfer) is preferred, and our bank details will be on your invoice.  If you are unable to pay in this way, please contact the school office to discuss alternative arrangements.

At this point in time we are unable to accept childcare vouchers.

Cancellation policy

Please ring the office on 01629 812322 to inform us if you need to cancel a session, preferably the day before, or you may be charged.  We need to know who is in attendance each day for safeguarding purposes, and to be able to offer the space to another child if needed.

You will not be charged if:

  • you inform us of a cancellation in advance;

  • your child is sick and absent from school, and your school can confirm this;

  • your child does not attend due to circumstances beyond your control.

Finally...

Mrs Dring looks forward to caring for your child at breakfast or afterschool club.
