Online Safety

Online safety is an integral part of children's education and is embedded in their learning at school. Our curriculum in school covers all key aspects of online safety, delivered during computing and PSHE lessons. We explicitly teach how to stay safe online and provide regular, carefully chosen updates to parents (see below).

We also want to help parents and children improve their own understanding of online issues so they can learn to use the internet and all digital media in a safe and secure way. The resources below provide guidance for parents and carers to keep children safe online. They will, amongst other things, support you to talk to your child about a range of online safety issues, set up home filtering in a child friendly way and set up age appropriate parental controls on digital devices.

We also recommend Internet Matters.

Internet Matters is a site designed for parents to access simple, easy and practical advice about online safety for their children, right through from pre-school to teens. It provides tips on protecting children from online grooming, cyberbullying, privacy and identity theft and inappropriate content.

Please see our policies section for online safety policies.
