Early Help for our Families
Our Early Help Offer
Our Early Help Offer is all about helping our families as soon as issues arise. We understand that from time to time, family life can have its ups and downs and sometimes families need a bit of support. Because of this we have an Early Help Offer. We believe the right support at the right time can make a huge difference.
Our Early Help Offer is about being able to support our families, as soon as issues arise. To do this we need your help; we need you to talk to one of our staff, Mr Aanonson or Mrs Beckett, as soon as you are worried or experiencing any difficulties.
This support may take many forms, sometimes advising about managing behavioural issues; or supporting emotional wellbeing; or managing changing family dynamics or even finding other agencies to help by signposting you to helpful contacts and services, including housing, the police, health services and through our family support workers.
Early help…
- Is for children of all ages and not just the very young,
- Can be provided at any point of need and;
- Can be very effective in supporting a child, young person and/or their family to step down from statutory services as well as preventing the escalation of issues.
- Is important because there is clear evidence that it results in better outcomes for children.
Bakewell C of E Infant School provides an Early Help Offer, in partnership with the Lady Manners Secondary School.
Further support with accessing Early Help can be found on the Children and Family services pages at the Derbyshire County Council website
Our Early Help Offer is led by Mrs Beckett and Mr Aanonson who are our trained Designated Safeguarding Leaders.
